T型线夹主要用于架空电力线路或变电所，在母线的干线上以"T"型方式引下电流分支。分螺栓型和缩型两类，对于小截面导线也可用并沟线夹或钳压椭圆执着线管作为T型连接。

T-T接 Y-压缩 L-螺栓
数字表示适用导线标称截面积：
T型线夹对导线的握力不小于导线计算拉断力的10%，但螺栓型线夹适用导线直径大于49mm时，不小于3%。线夹的直流电阻不大于等长导线的直流电阻，截流温升低于导线的温升.
使用电压在330KV及以上的T型线夹，在1.05倍最高运行电压下无可见电晕。
